Name/TitleSerrated Sickle
About this objectAn iron sickle with an ash handle. Given the fact the sickle is fully serrated, it is therefore self-sharpening. It was made by Garret & Sons of Leiston. This tool was used by the donor's grandfather; in 1840, when the scythe was replacing the sickle, the user and his mates refused it, preferring their 'hooks'.
