About this objectIt has a brown handle of slightly tapering polished wood with two groups of rings cut round a central core of iron, which is black, apparently running its entire length. This core continues beyond the smaller end and itself ends as a kind of curving spade. The end of the outer curve of the spade is riveted to the base of 5 spines which at first curve away from the spade but finish over and parallel, with the rod collar which covered the smaller end. The handle is split for the entire length with minor cracks. and the functional end of the handle is missing.
