About this objectThis was used at a farm in Mendlesham. The handle is missing. The head fits into the handle by a tang, and includes a socket (rectangular) into which the blade fits by means of a tang. This is the head only with a detachable blade. Blades of different sizes could be used with the same handle.

Blade: 3 inches long x 4 3/4 inches wide, with 4 inch tang to fit the socket into the head.
