Name/TitleRidging plough
About this objectKnown as a 'Double Tom', this type of plough was used to heap up the ridges further after ploughing. It differs from other 'double-toms' in being wheel-less and, while originally horse-drawn, it was later drawn behind a tractor. Other distinguishing features include double mould-boards, and the lack of a coulter and double shares.
This plough was used at Brazier's Hall Farm, Creeting St Peter, presumably by Mr. George Gosling and his staff.
