About this objectIt has a blue body, with red wheels, ladders, etc. The front wheels have six felloes, and the rear have seven. According to George Sturt (The Wheelwright's Shop) they should have been hoop tyred, since straked wheels had fix and six felloes respectively. It is possible they were hooped originally and straked when re-shod. The fact that the front strakes are bolted, not nailed, lends some credence to this. It was used by the donor and possibly the donor's father up until the 1930's-1940's at Eye.
