About this objectThis shoe pad is made of rubber, and was used for easing the impact for a horse with a damaged hoof. It was, presumably attached directly to the hoof. It consists of a black rubber pad, shaped to the hoof and cut away from the frog. To the pad is attached a horseshoe shaped piece of red rubber.
