About this objectFarmers in the late nineteenth century commonly used barn machinery to crush oats, beans and peas to feed to livestock. This grinding mill was part of the Albion range created by Harrison McGregor & Co of Lancashire, whose harvesting and feed machinery became some of the most renowned in the world. The mill is painted blue and red and features the model name 'Albion' on a red plate on the wooden funnel.
This object is on display in our exhibition 'Meat the Future' in the Bone Building.
