Name/TitleMiner's Lamp
About this objectThis miner's safety oil lamp was found in a barn at the donor's farm. A screw on the base enables the wick to be adjusted by means of a ratchet mechanism. The screw filler cap is on the side of this section. Around and over the wick fits a thin wire mesh safety section, and onto the base section screws a "chimney" section at the top of which is the handle.
