About this objectThis has an ornamental front plate of enamelled metal with a backing of hardboard in a frame of narrow but substantial wood. The ornamentation is dominated by 2 concentric circles and between them is a written inscription. The central circle is dominated by a 10 pointed star and by representations of the medals which Ransomes had won. At the top is the Ransomes coat of arms and at the base, with some ornamentation are the words 'ESTABLISHED 1785". It is ready to hang.
