Name/TitleDrill - seed - hand
About this objectThis drill has a long wooden handle enclosed at the base with a ferrule which changes into a strong 'u' which supports a seed box much larger at the top than the bottom with a tube running downwards. When the drill is pushed forward the line makes a narrow trench each spine on the wheel triggers a spring mechanism which opens a small hatch at the bottom of the seed box so that the seed runs down the tube into the trench and is covered with earth by a small 'u' at the end of a kind of chain.
