About this objectThis model root pick has an oatmeal coloured handle with a black and grey blade driven lengthwise, which has a lower cutting edge, with a spike projecting downwards in the same plane. A ferrule prevents the handle from splitting where the blade in inserted.
The model was made by the donor's father, using hand tools in the Pebmarsh area of Essex, drawing his inspiration from the surrounding countryside.
