Name/TitleWagon lamp
About this objectThis nearside lamp is one of two large stout lamps used on farm wagons in winter by the donor when working at Langmere Hall until 1966. The rear panel is held in place by a clip at top and hinges down to allow access to inner chamber. There is a ring on top for hanging the lamp when not in use and off the wagon. The handle can be released by turning clockwise and removed to allow a candle to be inserted and held in place by a spring.
