Collections Audit Consultation
As part of making the best use of our Food Museum collection, we have been carrying out an audit to help us understand what objects we have, what stories they can be used to tell and how we can ensure that they are cared for appropriately into the future. We are looking for input from our community so as members of the museum we would like your help.
We are running a series of Collections Audit Consultation sessions as follows:
- Tuesday 23rd July – 10-11.30am – in The Studio, next to the museum café
- Tuesday 30th July – 6.30-8pm – online
- Thursday 8th August – 6.30-8pm – online
- Saturday 31st August – 10-11.30am – in The Studio, next to the museum café
- Saturday 31st August – 2-3.30pm – in the Studio, next to the museum café
We will discuss the areas above and some questions to gather your thoughts. You don’t need any specialist knowledge to get involved, just an enthusiasm to learn about the museum and help us tell more and different stories in the future.
If you would like to join us, please reply to collection@foodmuseum.org.uk by 2 August 2024, stating which session you would like to attend.
Numbers will be limited so we can make sure that contributions are noted and fed in to the wider project. In person sessions will include light refreshments.
This work is supported by the Esmee Fairbairn Collections Fund and further details can be found here: https://foodmuseum.org.uk/about/current-projects/collections-audit/
