About this objectThis is the cylinder of a food processor that was used by the donors mother for grinding coffee beans and was purchased at the Ideal Home Exhibition, when at Olympia.
The processor was manufactured by Swiss company 'Turmix' and was known as the 'Turmix Standmixer', first manufactured in 1943. The design is based on the Waring companies 'Rocket Blender'.
This object is part of our permanent Domestic Life display - 'The 1950's Kitchen.
