About this objectThis is the base of a food blender that was used by the donors mother for grinding coffee beans and was purchased at the Ideal Home Exhibition, when at Olympia. It was used at home in Clacton. The base is a four tiered cylindrical pyramid, which has a control knob and two speeds. It has a flex and plug attached there are four covered prongs on the top.
The blender was manufactured by Swiss company 'Turmix' and was known as the 'Turmix Standmixer', first manufactured in 1943. The design is based on the Waring companies 'Rocket Blender'.
