About this objectThis door knob was taken from the groom's cottage at the M.E.A.L. It was removed from the door, which connects the kitchen with the back hall, and which is to the left of the staircase. It is no longer in use. The door knob is rounded and of brass, the joint connecting them being of steel. There is a small brass plate or ring, which is secured to the door and two washers, which fitted in between the knob and the plate, threaded onto the joint.
