Name/TitleCasserole
About this objectAn oval casserole, made of stoneware with a brown exterior and a beige interior, and is cracked. This is one of two casseroles, see also STMEA:75.A.103/163/1. For provenance see 75.C.2.
The item was mainly used in circa 1956-1966. Mrs. Wilding had them when she married in 1929. Used for baking pears in the oven, or meat stews or casserole steak. Mrs. Wilding stopped using them after receiving a Pyrex casserole about 10 or more years ago, and kept them on the upper shelf of the lower cupboard of the kitchen cabinet.
