About this objectA cardboard container, c. 1973, used by donor for cleaning paint-work and occasionally for the tiled fireplace in the sitting room. Generally used with water but used dry for particularly bad stains. The top of the packet is partly torn back (to the point indicated for opening) and most of the powder has gone. Kept in a red plastic bowl (q.v.) on the table in the lobby between the kitchen and the cloakroom.
