About this objectThis chiffonier was kept in the passageway between the kitchen and sitting room of 20 Crowe Street. It originally stood in the front room of 18 Crowe Street when Mrs. Wilding occupied the cottage, until the late 1940s. It was one of the items that her husband had before marriage. Originally it had a mirror with two shelves above at the back.
Medium and MaterialsThe chiffonier is made of wood, perhaps mahogany.
Inscription and MarksThere are holes in the top of the chiffonier where the missing upper part was once attached.
