About this objectThe traveller has a handle attached to one side of the disc by a nut and bolt. The disc is surrounded by 32 square holes with the centre of the disc reinforced on both sides by supplementary smaller discs. It was used to relate the outer circumference of the wheel to the inner circumference of the tyre.
