The Storyteller’s Supper with Michael Harvey

Friday 19 June, 2026, 6pm-9pm

Indulge in a three-course meal woven together with the very best in live storytelling. This evening celebrates both the festival’s summer solstice theme and the rich Welsh heritage of our featured storyteller.

On the plate, we draw on solstice food traditions that honour the sun’s peak power and nature’s abundance — fresh, seasonal, and vibrant ingredients lifted with Welsh inspiration and a heartfelt nod to the roots of tonight’s master storyteller.

That storyteller is Michael Harvey — a magical presence whose repertoire spans the world’s great oral traditions, from Wales and the Celtic countries to anywhere a truly irresistible story calls him. He is perhaps best known for his tales of Celtic mythology, and ancient Welsh stories in particular, where landscape and the human soul are inseparable. His performances hold wildness, fury, and longing alongside fun, laughter, and joy — stories of magical transformation told through extreme characters and vivid worlds.

There is nothing quite like sitting down to hear a great story in the hands of someone who truly knows how to tell one. Michael Harvey is exactly that: a master of story.
