This exhibition focuses on the life of John Stevens Henslow; an inspirational teacher, skilled botanist and lifelong friend and mentor of Charles Darwin. Henslow was Rector of Hitcham, Suffolk in the mid-1800s and used his position to educate and raise the aspirations of the local community. 

This project has been made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. It has been put together in collaboration with the residents of Hitcham.
