A fantastic day in Great Chesterford with the Food

A fantastic day in Great Chesterford with the Food Stories exhibition. We were brought a box of memorabilia of Mr Stacey Dyer one of the Survey of English Dialects original interviewees surveyed in 1958. Such a discovery!

Words and recipes we collected today:

Aspergrass - asparagus
Brawn - pork cheese
Windmill - reaper binder
Beeselums pudding - made from the first milk of the cow
Frumenty - flour, milk, batter, sultanas and wheat with brown sugar
