The Food Museum is taking part in Stowmarket Town Council’s Christmas Fayre! There’ll be seasonal entertainment for the whole family in the museum’s beautiful grounds and around the town. Enjoy a day of family fun, delicious food and seasonal surprises across the museum’s grounds.

Forest School Family Activities – Toast marshmallows over an open fire and enjoy nature-inspired fun with our Forest School leader. Drop-in, 10am–3pm.

Festive Market Marquee – Meet our wonderful traders and browse local crafts, food and gifts in our warm, covered marquee.

Feast BBQ – Enjoy gourmet burgers, sausages, homemade soup, sourdough, roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and hot chocolate.

Steam Engine “The Empress” – See our magnificent steam engine in full steam!

Storytelling for All Ages – Gather round for enchanting traditional fairy tales with storytellers from the East Anglian Storytelling Festival.
Free and drop-in, 10:30am–3:30pm.
Expect beloved tales like Hansel and Gretel and Cinderella, told in their original, magical form. -
Craft, Food and Gift Stalls – Browse a wide selection of local traders, perfect for finding unique Christmas gifts.
