“Bee Amazed” Insect Day
As a complementary event to our exhibition “Every Garden Matters- How to save the world one garden at a time” Stowmarket Eco Future Group and The Food Museum are pleased to host this special day focussing on garden insects.
10.00 Presentation “The Forgotten Bees” by Hawk Honey
- We all know that bees are under threat in an ever-changing world, but are we saving the right bees? Join me Hawk Honey as I tell you about The Forgotten Bees and what you can do to help them.
11.00 Guided walk round museum grounds identifying bees and other insects
2:00 pm Presentation “Gardens for us and them” Dr Ian Bedford
- We have National Parks and Nature Reserves but wildlife needs to be able to move between them. That’s where gardens and wild areas come in. This talk explains some of the very easy things we can do to make “stepping stones” for wildlife
3:00 pm Garden Pests and the Environment: Advice Clinic
